Shady Oaks Cockatiels does not sell unweaned babies
When purchasing a cockatiel; the parties agree that a deposit no less than 30% of the total sales price must be received within 7 days of the request to hold a bird(s). If payment is not received within the 7 day time period, the agreement whether written or verbal will be null and void.
The parties agree, that the holding deposit is non-refundable. The seller also reserves the right to refuse to sell a bird(s) for any reason. They further agree that should the balance of the purchase price not be paid within 30 days the buyer will have no further claim on the purchase of the bird(s). The seller is relieved of all obligations in respect of the agreement and the bird(s) will be placed on the sales list.
Payment will be accepted via PayPal or personal check. Bird(s) will not be shipped or delivered until the check has cleared my bank. If checks are returned there will be a $25.00 fee charged.
The buyer agrees that the balance is to be paid in full at time of pickup and only cash will be accepted. Unless otherwise stated written or verbally the buyer is responsible for all shipping cost which includes the cost of an airline approved shipping crate.
All birds are sold with a closed and traceable leg band. Birds are sold with a 72 hour health guarantee; however, the bird must be examined by a Certified Avian Vet. No refund or exchange will be given unless the Vet believes the bird was ill at the time of delivery. A written report must be submitted to the seller.
I am a member of the National Cockatiel Society (NCS) and the American Cockatiel Society (ACS). My band number for both societies is 86A I am currently a NCS judge.
